Anne Barnett- Owner and managing director
I introduced Bounty to NZ 17 years ago, and during that time have seen many changes especially in the ways we communicate-letters, faxes, emails and now social media, all challenging and fun and more immediate!
As a Health Visitor in the UK and a Plunket nurse for 7 years, I am passionate about maternal and child health, and being involved in offering the best information to make parenting easier. My daughter is a midwife and passes Bounty feedback on what mothers want. With 2 granddaughters, one husband and a Labrador, and an abiding love affair with travel, life is pretty busy!
Margaret Hall – Operations/Marketing Manager
After returning to New Zealand from an exhilarating 2 and a bit year OE, I took up a short-term temping position at Bounty to help out with the filing while I caught my breath and contemplated the future. Ten years later I’m still here with a bit more responsibility now than just the filing!
Way before Bounty my background was in broadcasting journalism where I worked for Radio New Zealand and later The Radio Network sourcing, writing and presenting news for Newstalk ZB and Classic Hits stations. Loved that season in my life which also set up good foundations for what I do now, predominately sales and marketing.
I have an active interest in farming and livestock – own my own Angus stud cattle and shoot home to the deep south to help my farming brothers with the lambing and drenching from time to time. Gumboots are well worn. As are my tramping boots. I love the outdoors! Travelling is another love of which I’ve done quite a bit and plan to do more.
Avril Robinson – Regional Manager
I am both a registered nurse & midwife, previously working in Women’s health and paediatrics in both NZ and the UK & over the past 12 years as an Independent midwife and hospital midwife working in both rural and larger hospitals.
I have been working part time for Bounty Services Ltd since April 2009 and enjoy the variety the role offers. I also work part time at Middlemore and Papakura Hospitals as a midwife and am still, after all these years and countless babies, in awe of the human body’s ability every time I help birth a baby!
I am the mother of 3 children, Wyatt, Xanthe and Tait – who arrived in July 2011, and who threw us a bit of a curve ball being born with a rare genetic condition. As you can imagine it is a juggle in our house but I still manage to participate in Wyatt’s school PTA and I am slowly working through my playcentre courses. Family is extremely important to me and having a healthy balance between work and home life ensures that I not only fulfil my role at Bounty but also be the mum and wife I want to be.
